Caroline Nalle, designer of C. Disston jewelry, wearing an antique gold locket
Caroline Nalle

C. Disston is the jewelry of designer Caroline Nalle. Her signature is antique-inspired jewelry, modernized and reimagined for everyday wear, set with custom-cut antique lab-grown diamonds and reclaimed natural diamonds and gemstones.

Antique soul, modern hand

Caroline came to jewelry by way of fashion history and theatrical costume design, and she designs the way a costumer builds a character: every detail is there to tell part of the story.

Every piece is designed by Caroline and hand crafted in the US. She works with clients privately on finished pieces and bespoke commissions. Consultations begin by video call, and Bay Area clients meet her in person once it is time to choose stones and settings.

A note on the name: C. Disston comes from Caroline's great-great-grandfather, Henry Disston, the 19th-century Philadelphia maker whose saws became a byword for fine craftsmanship. Her family has always been devoted to innovation and meticulous attention to detail, and she was raised to think creatively while keeping a deep respect for history and tradition.
